Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Pretty sure I could feel my bank balance begging to be free'd up at those prices. Thankfully beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Strong work.

I'd like to but I'm in the middle of moving and my extra secret code books I got by sending away four boxtops and a nickle are packed somewhere. Who knows where! It will have to wait until I unpack next week.

Here's a 12g Beretta 425 that I have to compliment my 16g Beretta 409. The gun was manufactured in 1968, and based on its original condition, likely didnt see much time in the field given its age. The upcoming Double Gun shoot will determine how well I can shoot the gun. Hopefully I shoot it well enough to justify keeping it for the long haul. Otherwise, I'm back to square one in my quest to find a good fitting sxs.

Just acquired... a post-war (West German) JP Sauer & Sohn 16 ga. over .30-30 Win (7.62X51R). It includes a flip-up rear sight and a set trigger, and weighs just under 6 lbs.

Patterning and 3 different brands/weights of slugs of slugs have confirmed that when the non-adjustable flip-up rear sight is in the up position, it is sighted in perfectly for rifle barrel, but will throw shot patterns and slugs high. With the rear sight folded down the patterns are centered. Windage is always true regardless of which barrel is fired.

So whether by accident or design, this gun simply must be used in shotgun mode for the shotgun and in rifle mode for the rifle.

The first one is a Boxlock G.MARCO 12 gauge 27 1\2" barrels, full & mod choke, Very nice shotgun, near new. I would love to find more about it. Thanks

jpb, nice! Normally I would be happy to spout off but I know very little about Italian guns. I'm sure someone will be along who can add to your knowledge.

Top gun is an Armi San Marco. They were marketed in Europe as a bargain priced shotgun. Tradexcanada has imported quite a few with the sell-off of Swedish guns due to ownership restrictions. The company is better known for its copies of Colt revolvers in the 60s through the 70s. The XXI date code on your gun is 1965.

I have a Hammer 12 gauge with identical lion logo. Mine has Boehler chrome steel barrels.

The date code indicates 1958. I do not know the maker's mark.
As you might have gathered, there were many small makers in Gardone area making shotguns from the same action forgings. There is no repository of makers marks for Italian shotguns that I am aware of.
