Sharing some pics of a rare Russian MTS-7 handmade shotgun. It is made by TSKIB SOO (Central Firearms Research Institute) initially setup by the Russian government to design and make shotguns for Russian Olympic shooters.

30" barrels, ejector, Woodward type trigger plate action.

Not much info about these but I found some info here...

Here is link to their current production on their website.
Mts-11
Mts-9

Cant say i have ever been a fan of russian guns or over/unders but that is definately a nice shotgun. Big fan of the english grip double triggers on it, a properly set up double.

Burns, that's a good looking Tobin. And in 16 too. Nice score. Tell us some more about it. Barrels, chokes, weight, chambers, yadda, yadda, yadda!

Conception Bay South? Hmmm....that rings a bell.

Yes, indeed. Thanks, James, for the referral.
The stock maestro, CJDawe, attended to her in the Seal Bay intensive care unit followed by extensive rehab. Wood was soaked to de-oil over a month. There are 5 metal rods in the wrist, 2 staples in the head, 3 inlaid fillets of new wood in the wrist, glass-bedding, refinish of wood (obviously), recut checkering, and rust blue of barrels and trigger guard. The work is immaculate.

Thanks! It was my uncle's only shotgun. He gave it to me 7 or 8 years ago, so it's nfs lol. He hunted ducks with it some. Got it from elderly lady 30+ years before that. It was just sitting in her closet and she wanted to be rid of it. That's enough backstory...

It's a Woodstock, Ontario Tobin 16ga sxs, 30" barrels, choked full/full, splinter style forend. Weighs a bit over 7lbs, maybe 7 and a half. Very trim gun. It makes my light contour wingmaster feel thick lol. It's in good shape other than some tiny marks. Trigger guard still shows case colour hardening and it still locks up real tight.

I thought those barrels looked long. Nice to get a 16 with 30" barrels!

Good to hear! Sounds like another masterful resurrection by Chris. BTW, I love nice game scenes and most of my guns are pistol or POW. The Spaniards have and can make some pretty nice guns but I can't help you on the gauge or the triggers. LOL

Spill the beans.....show us the rest!

You guys might not like it - has game scenes rather than scroll, only one (nonselective) trigger, pistol grip not straight stock, 20ga not 16, made in Spain not England...the list goes on and on.
Will post more when my wife shows me how to use her DLR camera.

Lol! Almost spit out my second coffee of the day...

Yeah, that was a little tongue in cheek about anyone not liking it. Eusibio Arizaga 20 ga.. Ejectors, Mod/IC, 26", early 1960's custom order, fractured wrist repaired 20 years ago. Could have cried the day it broke again. Will be shooting her again tomorrow.
