Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

I bought this Belgium Heinrich Scherping 16 gauge and sent it to Chris Dawe to refresh for me......refinish wood, rust blue barrels, remove cheek rest, and add horn butt-plate. It is 28 1/2", 2 3/4" nitro and has ejectors.

I picked this Belgium 20 gauge ejector up in Chilliwack at the March 3 day show. You find these Belgium guild guns in 12 gauge and 16 gauge all day long but a 20 gauge with ejectors and a straight grip is impossible! My good friends at Lemieux http://lemieuxarmuriers.com/en were as excited as me to dig into this one. They were trained at the gun making school in Liege Belgium and this was like being home. We chose a traditional rose and scroll pattern.

Those that have not seen a project develop will find this interesting.

Chris Dawe will do the stock. http://stillwaterrestorations.ca/

Brian, excellent find on the Belgian Scherping. I mean what's not to like. Beautiful engraving, stunning wood nicely brought to life by Chris, it's a 16 with long enough barrels. An all round gorgeous gun.

And the custom one. Well, words fail me. Brilliant both in concept and execution. Will look forward to chapter two on it. And thank you for the in-progress photos. Great to see the concept take shape.

This old Belgian sxs 12ga has been in my family a couple generations now. It's a wall hanger unfortunately. Conditon too poor to shoot.. Value too low to rebuild..

I just refinished the stock on a 1971 12g Beristain, SA Bufalo Mod 57 Spanish Sidelock.

  • Barrels & Sidelocks are stamped by AYA
  • 12g with 2.75" chambers & 27 5/8" barrels
  • 7.0 pounds with a 14.5" LOP
  • Double triggers & extractors
  • Cocking indicators & Auto Safety
