Kind of a pleasant departure from deep relief games scenes to me. Not that there is anything wrong with deep relief game scenes.

It was the sling studs that partly attracted me to this Miroku 20ga, despite the beavertail forend

BTW, I've yet to see a Miroku or Charles Daly double that didn't have a hint (or more) of plum in the bluing. Trying to stretch the bluing salts a bit too far perhaps?

No...the purple tone on the blueing is indicative of alloyed steel...prolly more chromium content, so it won’t take the blueing as well

Mr. O., so glad to see you posting. Three outstanding guns. The Bristol gun is remarkable for the condition of its original finish. What is the year of manufacture? Also, it would be good to hear the particulars on the german gun with those spectacular fences and pierced top lever engraving.

The TPW is from 1926 I believe, prolly made by Rowland Watson....the German double is undergoing research right now and I cannot make comments on its specifics, I’m not quite sure what it is yet
