hey thanks ab hobbyist.after i had posted it i seen how big they where.it gave me no option to delete them and start over.but hey thanks man.

DBM:

Lets see, If I had to guess I would say that your build has:

1. 870 police Mag with an 18.5 or so barre (looks like it wears an 870 police barrel)

2. Factory Rem + 2 ext

3. Knoxx spec ops recoil reduction stock

4. seperatly mounted picatiny rail for optics

5. Eotch 552 (looks like it takes AA bateries)

6. Speed feed short forend

7. Looks like a tacstar 6 round side saddle.

8. Not really sure about the flashlight and mount

9. And about a box of 12 guage shells LOL!! :D

Was I close??

Further if I might suggest that on that side saddel, take some time and blue locktite those small screws in. They tend to come loose as the most inconvieneint times.

good call on the screws.the light is a superfire 6v 80lum.cheap knock off.the mount for it was from a guy on ebay.its a nice sano mount has pic rail on both sides.im just waiting for the knoxx powerpack for it.as i only have a slip on sleeve for the butt.its actually a rem tactical model.also want to put ghost ring sights on instead of the eo.eo gets in the way of tactical top loading.with it loaded in total it can carry 33 rounds on it.ya its heavy as all fk though.just did it for fun and to see how many i could get on it.the sling is from blackhawk.the eo is the 512 aa model.

This one went out the door so fast I did not even get a chance to shoot her. As a result I am working on my second build with a Gen2 adaptor.

Hey there mate, did you do the conversion to let it fir 3" shells? I have a wingmaster with a pitted barrel made in 79 and wanted to know if I purchased a new barrel that could fire both 2 3/4 " and 3" how easy is the modification to the rest of the shotgun? That is if you did it, lol

Milo:

Im not sure what happened to your text in your post but I will try to answer you questions

No I did not. The 2.75 shell size covers pretty well all my needs, as Im not a hunter of waterfoul. If I need something different, I just reoald it as I have both a Ponsness Warren 800c fully progressive press, as well as a Pasific 105DL single stage press in the reloading room.

The limiting factor that determines what size of shell you can fire is the receiver. In your case you would still be limited to using 2.75 shell as that is what your reciver is. That being said it is possible to take the gun to a smith to have it modified, but as I wanted it for "defensive or Tactical" type shooting, the smith I talked to suggest that I spend the money on shell instead of changing the extractor and pratice.

You have to understand the 870 is one of the most flexible shotguns out there, and as a result there are all kinds of parts available to mod or "pimp" out your gun as you whish.

I have built at least half a dozen different configuration from full out trap gun, to old school police type builds with 20" barrels, to what you see above. I am not a smith, but I am handy. All of the mods you see in the above picture are either "Swap out" or bolt on. Get yourself a good manual on how to disassmeble the gun, and your of to the races.
