Sweet shotty, let us know how it shoots.
My Express didn't come with a drilled and tapped received so I was thinking about getting the Mesa Tactical rail/side saddle combo, but then I saw this receiver on EE that did have the drilled and tapped receiver so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to have a properly mounted rail (not that I think there's anything wrong with the Mesa unit), and also build a shorty at the same time. As I'm typing this, my wife has discovered the charges on the credit card and kind of freaking out, haha!
Anyway, here's what my shotty looked like before:

I ordered the 12.5 in Dominion Arms spare barrel from Canada Ammo:

And the receiver I bought off EE arrived at the same time so I started to strip everything off my receiver and started the transplant:

My old receiver:

My new receiver with the Millet rail mounted to it. the screws were a tad too long and I had to grind it down a bit so the barrel could fit in the receiver:

I transplanted all my furniture, barrel, mag extension and side saddle over, then started to piece together what left over parts I had into my new short:

Mounted my Bushnell TRS25 to my long one:

My new shorty (just needs a stock now):

I'm thinking about keeping the short nice and clean. no side saddle, no rails, but we'll see. I'm also debating whether to mount an Aimpoint Micro H1 (4moa) on my long shotty or not. The Bushnell is perfectly fine, but I bought a BNIB H1 off EE that I didn't really need. I have a 10/22 that needs a red dot, and I was thinking should I get another TRS25 for it and flip the Aimoint (haha, and use the funds to buy another gun), or just keep the Aimpoint and mount it on either the shotty or the 10/22. I'm already running an Aimpoint on my AR.....decisions decisions....and damn you EE, haha, you're the reason why my wife is so pissed at me
