Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

You mean like this???????

VZBoltRelease2.jpg

This is a DMCFAUL design that NEA will be producing.

Noo! My hopes were up so high... and then the image dosent show!

has this been properly tested? I did a couple like that and found they would not work right in most rifles, as they tend to torque the BHO in the receiver and can cause binding.

Yes it has been tested. DMCFAUL has been rockin it for a while and i put a couple hundred through it today. If the steel is good and heat treated and stress relieved it should not snap, bend or torque. Its just a bolt release.

Dont know the history other than its the export model without all the nice Yiddish markings

and yes....the R4 and Galil are nearly identical

Kinda thought I could fool someone into thinking it was a 858....should know better;)

the 'R' stands for repetition...single shot...guess what the 'A' stands for (no...it doesnt work)

Klunk, how much did that set you back? And when was the last time you got to make it go boom?

I don't have it here anymore, it's off to the elves that make my things into more things. I don't know how it's all done. ;)

It has about 1/8" travel. Push up; catch bolt. Push down; release bolt. All done with your trigger finger with zero effort, zero binding. The one mounted in the pic is about 2x the final size. I didn't think to take a pic of it mounted before it went off to machining.

It's really a super-complicated combination of levers, pivots and quantum mechanics. And as such is a trade secret. You'll have to buy one (or twelve) to experience it.

the one i made was very similar, I found that sometimes it would bind especially on an empty mag, and be hard to manipulate with just my trigger finger. I would like to try one of these when they come out and see if it works any better.

although our U.S. legal receivers mostly have more contact area between the BHO and the receiver which could add to the binding, it may not be present on original receivers.
