Awesome, thanks! I've been looking to buy an 858 but i really dislike the AR-style collapsible (just personal taste, i want to keep a somewhat Eastern Bloc look to it); solid side-folders are my thing.
 
Here's mine. Pretty basic. Magpul MOE sl but stock, csa muzzle break, csa low profile mount, bushnell x1-4 illuminated scope. Waiting for my tactical bolt release and would love to have the magpul ak hand guard set up! Still deciding what to do for small shell deflector. Suggestions would be great!

Those ACE skeleton stocks look so awesome on the VZ, I need to get off my lazy ass and finish my VZ poject.... its hard when you dont have a heated shop though :canadaFlag: :(

Haven't shot it yet, just got it all mounted up and have to work all weekend so this week I'll have it at the range. I'm very curious as well if the shells will hit the scope. Tried to test it cycling it with some snap caps but its to hard to say. I'll throw a few layers of tape on the bottom of it and run some rounds through it and see if it hits. May have rig up something otherwise.
As far as eye relief its great. 3-4ish inches. On the 3rd stock position the eye relief is perfect for me, so lots of room to move closer or further depending on the shooter. The cheek weld is pretty decent too as its the low profile mount and I used the lowest rings I could find.

Finally got mine in 223 three days ago and went to the range with it yesterday. I had 2 casing extracted that went back into the chamber the 1st ten rounds (what gives?) then no stoppages.
Gun feels pretty accurate and capable. I just need to mount better sights or maybe an optics on it.

Thanks man! This is my favorite "tacticool" build so far. The AK Zhukov handguard is really sweet. My favorite. The Ace stocks are nice.
The new polymer mags are very very nice. The Rock and lock is as smooth as butter.
I've been messing around with these mags in that rifle. It has the ambi mag release. I was practicing mag changes and realized if I let the barrel point down just a little bit and using my trigger finger to hit the mag release the mags will consistently drop free. That's a huge plus! I tried a CSA mag and a surplus and neither would drop.
