Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

The complete RT VZ58 modernization package is slated to be ready for sale Feb/March.

This is not the final product but some preproduction samples that we rushed for SHOT, so there will be some changes, you get the idea though. I think once people see the features of the final product they will be quite impressed, the factory is running new samples now that fix a couple errors in their original samples and incorporate some late breaking ideas we added.

I don't have a CZ858 yet, but i wonder if this would be possible :
1) take off front sight
2) re-thread to 1/2x28 tpi
3) install a Spikes Fake suppressor (front threaded model, which slips over the barrel). So this fake can would cover 6" of the barrel.

sounds kinda cool

What do they weigh

For the most part the material is a 7075 with a T6 hardness, initially we were gonna go with a 6061 but the engineer pointed out that we could reduce the amount of material in certain areas by using a better material. The end result is actually not bad at all, it points better then similar short ARs. The really impressive thing is when you shoot it, the whole dynamic changes and you have an experience I would compare to the Tavor in terms of control and stability. The goal is function over form but the form is turning out quite nice as well.

Short answer is no, you would have to cut the barrel which is turning out to be a nono with the CFC. We're looking at making a short run of fake cans for the 58 later in the year that would do what you propose, but that will all depend on demand.

any one know where to get a wood kit?

We're talking with a company in Europe that has parts kits etc, the pricing is good but its yet to actually happen, if it does then wood kits could be expected later this year at an affordable price.

he didnt say cut the barrel , he said re-thread. it has been done before except the front sight was moved further back and instead of a fake can it was a fake flash hider.

There's lots of fake cans out there already threaded in x14r

I concur. My only problem is how well does that FAB rail hold zero? I would swap it with an NEA, but it looks amazing. I love tan guns.
Thank you both :) I totally agree with you. Once I have some money left over again I plan purchasing NEA upper handguard, extended mag release, tactical bolt release and maybe Dlask XB2 Flash Suppressor. I love the low profile of the NEA, I think it will work well with EoTech which is relatively high.
