Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

Does the new hybrid muzzle break significantly reduce the muzzle rise? Im still on the fence between heavy muzzle break and hybrid. Anyone care to share experiences? Im more for muzzle breaking than flash hiding.

Im building my 858 now! its about 3-4 years old now still have not shot it... lol. Hope it doesn't have the gremlin or els. all my effort would be useless lol.

You guys have amazing builds! Will post mine when its done! (Bout a month more lol)

That is a very nice rig.

Im not sure if I should keep the aimpoint on the cantilever or if I should put it on the front upper handguard. I like the look of it on the handguard but the cantilever givers me a better sight picture and eye relief.

On the handguard you'd need a riser or to switch the railed stock adaptor out for a straight AR adapator to get the right cheek-weld/sight picture.

I say go with what's most comfy - you'll enjoy shooting her a lot more. Sounds like you prefer the cantilver mount setup already.

I may swap the rear end out to get a "slanted/angled sytle" (dont know the proper term) buttstock or one that the buffer tube sits lower in the stock mount. The "straight style"(current) puts the aimpoint to low and I have to shrug down to compensate. The cantilever setup sits a little higher and is about right for me in terms of comfort.
She only has 40 test rounds out of her. After I range in the scope it will have maybe another 20. I want to keep her new.

You got it, precisely what I was talking about.
The regular stock adapter minus the cantilever, plus the riser on the front handguard would be another way. But then I would have to buy all of that sh!t and sell the cantilever setup. I wish originally I would have done this.lol.
I may just say fvck it and leave it. It looks like sh!t to me but is still comfortable.
Maybe if I just swap out the railed stock adapter for the reg one without the riser, is the regular one lower?

The railed adaptor sits higher than the regular straight AR stock adaptor. You can still use the irons with the regular model and your Aimpoint will co-witness with the irons without needing a riser. This rifle has the straight adaptor on it:

IMO, the railed adaptor is best suited for a magnified optic or if you are using AR BUIS on it and the barrel clamp. I'm considering setting up my CSA carbine with AR BUIS in this manner.

Do you need a small genny to power that puppy up ? jk

Lol.

FYI,The batteries on the aimpoint last forever. I pretty much just leave mine on all the time. And the trijicon doesn't take battery. It collect light via the fiber optic cable up top and lit the red dot. ( and tr trijicon isn mine. My friend just picked it up and thought we'd have some fun in the back yard. Lol)
