Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

That mag has too much curve for .223. It's not .223 in this mag pictured:

Wait, there are .223 CZ's in the US?

First I heard of this. I knew there were prototype .223's, but I didn't know any went into production.

Does anyone know is there is a company that sells just the long VZ58 barrels? I'd love to have a long barreled VZ and make it look like a Dragunov. I live in the states though, so it would probably be hard for me to get one regardless :(

Contact either czechpoint-usa.com or Wolverine at the top of the page. The barrel is non-chomed lined but it is much longer than the version you currently own and would give you the desired effect. But since you live down south can't you own the real one???

you will be needing an import permit for that vz58 long barrel , yes, talk to marstar or wolverine to see if one is avail, maybe they can guide you how to apply for the permits or talk to dave sports (above banner) they are located in the US and they handle importing of firearms.

dragunov look good , heres another idea a sniper version.

I wonder if half the people in this thread actually shoot their mirror guns?

Gentlemen, if you don't mind I would like to field this one.

Dude, your forgot to add the smiley right?

Gents like Steveo and WrenchGod, regularly attend and participate in tactical shooting course and use there VZ/cz carbines

"Dude in GP" barried his CZ 858 in sand, then pull it out to test and see if it would still function. He competes on a regular basis

DMcFaul, makes his own kit for the platform, has one of the few carbines I know that has 15-20K rounds through it, actually took his CZ threw it in water, pulled it out, shook it off, and shot a mag out of it as fast as he could pull the trigger just to see if it would work.

In general it has been my experience that far more individual that get into VZ/CZ platform do so to shoot it, and shoot it lots due to its affordablity of both the carbines, rifles and ammo.

Food for though no??

regards

AbH
