Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

It sort of works on the same principle as the POSP mount. Except it uses the very minor lip on the reciver to clap to. If the clamping latch was on both side it would be good but I did notice that every time I removed the rear cover P.O.I. was changed.

Not mine. I wish... I believe this is from a custom gun maker.

In truth, I have yet to fire it with the mounted DMS...while I have the shell deflector from Canada Ammo; I just haven't mounted it yet.

Free time is a luxury I just don't have right now...ugh...!

mine has no shell deflector and it seems to work fine. couple of little nicks in the scope but still holding strong(knock on wood) and it has a few thousand rounds too.

When you get around to installing the deflector, let us know if it clears that left side charging handle.

Thanks. The short mag does "fit" the carbine better visually. Shortening the mag is pretty easy. I think that one took me about 15 minutes. I could do the next in half that time, I'm sure.

Stevo, how do ya like that flashider/muzzle brake????

It's a flash suppressor/compensator. It does provide some compensation but I think the comp holes could be bigger. I can't speak to the flash suppression as I haven't had a chance to shoot it at twilight yet. Given the short barrel on the carbine, I suspect any flash suppressor would have a hard time with the unburned powder.
