This may be my last pheasant hunt of the year if the weather doesn't smarten up, but I got a picture of my Brit Chip finding another Cockbird in the rushes. The snow was a bit more than a foot deep but it was a great time. Lets see some pictures of your dogs doing what they do best.

This is the only pic that I can find on photobucket...I thought that I had some others...if I can locate them I'll post some more. Sharptail grouse in SE Manitoba..

Lucky ...just located another pic of BELLE, on point for ruffies. Had lots of fun this fall....only missed two weekends since opening day for upland birds in September. Didn't take a lot of birds but had lots of good points ..some bumps and some not so good points. This was Belle's first season hunting. Got two more weekends to go if the weather stays fit for a shorthair.

Was hoping the pup would pose with the shotgun for this one. He fetches well but figures the birds belong to him. He ended up under the pick up after this photo. A work in progress.

When she's actually working - I generally am too - so no action pics, but...

Great pictures. I've got to get my wife to find the album with other Brits who have moved on. Here's a few of chip growing up.

Thanks for posting memory photos of your dearly departed best friend Longwalker.
The pup in time will take over the duties for you.
Cheers.

It's been a bad year for me:(. She was only seven but a short while ago I had to have my little blond girl put down and I still miss her dearly:(:(. The photo is of her at her post in my den.

There'll eventually be another, but not for a while.

I haven't owned a dog in several years but two of my hunting partners have them and I have shared some great hunts with them over theirs...here is one of my buddies with his Chocolate Lab "Reed".
