What combination of mounts and scopes are you guys using to keep the scope as low as possible? I understand Dlask is offering a "newer" bolt that has more clearance - does anyone have any comparison pictures to show the difference between the two styles of bolts?

I just used CZ rings on mine, but it's the varmint laminate model, and for that the rings are perfect height for me. Any lower, and I'd have to #### my head funny to shoot. Scope is a zeiss conquest 6.5-20x50.

I used the rings provided when I bought the rifle.

I have a 527 Varmint Kevlar with a Bushnell Elite 6-24x40 in Talley high rings, and have a 527 carbine with a Vortex Viper 3-9 in Warne QR high rings. I am using the standard factory bolt handle in both rifles and don't find that the scopes are excessively high. The Talley Highs are slightly lower than the Warne Highs.
