Well, after seeing my brother plink away at gopher, after gopher, after gopher with his custom 10/22 for hours today. And shoot well over double what I did. And no, not because I'm a terrible shot, just because he had such a quick follow up! He also shot 10x the shells I did too! But let's see yours! Ultimate rimfire gopher guns!!! I need ideas so I can get mine built for next summer!

My 452 is a slayer, but this summer my new RX-22 will be put to the test, and judging by the groups it was putting on paper, well....gophers be warned!

Edit: Sorry, no pics, but a standard 452 Varmint and black RX-22.

I happen to be fresh out of gophers but this one has taken its share back in the 1970s on the Prairies.
The most accurate 10-22 I have ever had, never had or needed a scope, actually looks not too bad for being built about 1968..

Sako's in 17hmr and .22lr.

If you want to see rimfire only, you should post this in the rimfire forum. I have had many groundhog guns, but there are no gophers in these parts.

Double -Duty - grouse and gophers, shoots 22LR sub sonic in very small groups. I also have a similar size barrel fitted in .17 M2. It shoots even better.
If you want to shoot a lot of ammo buy a semi auto, if you want to shoot a lot of gophers buy a bolt action.

Savage MKII BV 22lr.
Accuracy is amazing. I consistently shoot gophers out to 125ish yrds.
Bought it for shooting out to 300yrds.
Holds a 8" group at 300yrds.
IT's FOR SALE too.

Skip the 22 go for a 17 hmr in a bolt action. I have a CZ 452 but I don't think they make them anymore

Anyways, you won't need to fire 2 times as fast or use half the ammunition as its a laser out to 200 yards. You will shoot more gophers with a lot less ammo
