Let's see your 25+ yards target!

Hmmm, an amazing number of B27's tells me that there are more than a few PPC shooters here. I'll post mine tomorrow, but you guys would beat me in a match.

PS, I wonder why PPC gets zero attention here, seems to be a great skill developer, great fun, and an important part of becoming a good all around pistol shooter.

I'd venture to say that it's the exact same reason why you seldom see post from bulleye/ISSF shooters... The guys (and gals) are more interested in shooting then posting on the web ;)

Good point, if you don't actually like shooting (pulling the trigger) then PPC probably isn't the place for you, you'll never spend a day setting up for a PPC match the way the IPSC guys do :stirthepot2:. This target was shot just after I'd zero'ed the sights; 6 rounds standing unsupported at 7/15 and 25 yards, double action only (gun doesn't have a hammer spur). Gun is a Charlton modified Smith Model 10.

Honestly shooting one of these guns really makes you feel like you know what you're doing (even me :D) It's really hard to suck too badly. Shooting the gun off a rest to set up the sights was a wierd experience, 30 rounds through one ragged x ring hole at 25 yards.

Drawing from holster with two to the centre and one up top with my Glock22 and my HK USP 45. About 200 rounds worth.

Nice! Keep 'em coming. :)

I appears that my first post is the worse one here. hahaha... I just wanted people to share their best. Not just for pros that can do 1" groups.

First I thought hunting (well, in the US) with pistols was dumb. Well, with skills like that... so be it!

I wouldn't slag yourself, I think it's increased difficulty to shoot a 8.5x11 at that distance as opposed to life sized targets. I bet if you increased the size of the target you may surprise yourself.

Yeah I use regular 8.5x11 targets I print myself and by the time it's ~8 meters away the sights are already larger than the paper, and shooting indoors on a black background, with basic black sights, it gets hard seeing where the sights end and the back wall begins.

Most PPC shooters use only black sights, and will also blacken them during the match.

You guys are allowed to shoot Human Silhouette target ?
I guess it must be a provincial law again , in quebec it's ilegal to use as a target anything that look like a human.

Here's one of mine. Gun used was a Sig 226 Blackwater Edition, shooting Winchester 147gr win-clean(the larger, 9mm holes).
Sights were a bit off(high and right), so this was just to sight it in. Disregard the 5.56 sized shots. :p
Shots fired standing, supported by a barricade, measures under 1.5".

The gun is really accurate, consistently shoots under 1.5". I've had a couple better targets, but didn't bother keeping them.

1st, that's a range policy... There are no special-quebec laws that says you can/cannot shoot as far as paper-target

2nd, silhouette targets are commonly used in Quebec. Every body shooting PPC is using them.

Here's some shooting from last night. 20 yards, the only distance we can shoot at indoors at our club. This is my first pistol I ever owned. A S&W Model 10 38 spl. It has fixed sights that seem to be exactly where they should be, and a 4" barrel. I doubt I could improve on this with a fancier revolver. I wonder how tight a group it would shoot from a rest? I wish I could shoot my M&P this well.

I still need to pratice a lot to get groups like that at 25 yards with my Glock 17! Great shooting

Glock G17 at 25 yards on Wednesday night.
Weaver stance. 147 grain American Eagle.
I like this particular target for indoor shooting.

This is a target from my Hi-Point 45 ACP. 20 m from a rest, wolf reloads. It's not my best ever, just the best from the night I was taking pictures of targets...

not as good as some but...

Had my new Shadow out, and boy this thing can shoot! Had a few shots open up the groups, but at 25m this is the best group I have shot. I cut out some shots from other targets with the paper, not trying to make it look better than it is, there are 10 shots not counting the 4 on the bottom, honest:D! My groups started to open up later though due to the cold.... hard to shoot with gloves!
