Lets see your Bergara rifle!

CGN is weird that way! LOL, lots of other pic threads are huge. I don't have photos... but if you can imagine a Q Sidechick Chassis with a Bergara Premier HMR, that's one of my rifles.

I have been eyeing a B-14 Wilderness Terrain at a LGS but have yet to pull the trigger :)

I've also been looking at one of these, maybe a 6.5 PRC. Either that or a Wilderness Ridge. Undecided, but I've already got an MDT rail and 30mm rings from a previous M700 build ready to go.

I'm confused by their 22's. The B14 is 699$ on sale but also 1400$? No one seems to really have a concrete accuracy report out of them either. I love the stock design but it feels like I'm better off getting a 457 action and a chassis... I'd love to be proven wrong!

I got a B14R barreled action, swapped the trigger for a TT 2-stage special, dropped it in a MT XRS and put a Vortex Razor Gen 2 4.5-27 on top. It's a great shooter with CCI SV. I did a bunch of higher end ammo testing with it and the only ammo to outshoot the SV was some Lapua Center-X but it wasn't "better" in a statistically significant manner. Out of curiousity I just had a look at the last target where I shot multiple groups at 50 yds. 6x 5rd groups measured: 0.63moa, 0.63moa, 0.63moa, 1.28moa, 0.33moa, 0.74moa. At 100yds 5rd groups tend to be just sub-moa and 10rd groups are 1.3moa. I'd say that's pretty decent for a factory barrel.

I had a CZ 455 before the B14R and it was great and accurate but I went to the Bergara so that all my bolt guns would be on the same (R700) footprint so everything could be consistent (triggers, chassis, mag pouches, etc)

Where are you seeing a B14R for that money?

Mine is an exceptional shooter with at least one lot of SK+ but doesn't seem to have the same affinity for cheap ammo.

The B14R is different than the BMR. The less expensive one is the BMR. The B14R is absolutely worth the money. I have mine with a triggertech special in a krg Bravo and it's alot of fun. It outshoots any tikka or cz I've shot with. It has its quirks but I wouldn't consider a cz or tikka seeing how they compare to my b14. I'm even reluctant to consider a vudoo or rimx as the price jump probably won't pay me back over the Bergara. Those guns are better no doubt, or atleast more refined

Where are you seeing 699 on sale? That's obscenely low. You might be seeing the BMR (entirely different rifle than the B14R).

I shoot a stock B14R for rimfire PRS - it is equally competitive to any other rig on the line, and 100% comes down to the shooter behind the rifle. I don't have photos or otherwise, but at 50m, my B14R stacks Eley Sport into dime-sized groups if I do my part. For a factory rifle, they are excellent... especially if you want Rem 700 action compatibility with triggers, chassis, scope rails and so on.

My B14 HMR in 9” twist .22-250….. swapped out the stock and slapped on a KRG Xray in FDE….

Then I took that HMR stock/chassis and installed it on my Remmy M700 .223 trainer with 9” twist 24” threaded barrel…. Still shoots really well.

Been very pleased with the Bergara B14 HMR, Thanks Dave Tree  He’s the guy who introduced me to my Achilles heel rifle, any .224 centerfire with a tight twist barrel.

Peace Be The Journey!

Just picked this puppy up from a guy on GP... B14 BMP in 6.5CM. Reportedly had 520 rounds on it when sold. Tried it out for the first time yesterday, very impressed with the accuracy both on cheap S&B 156gr soft points and Federal match ammo with Berger 140gr bullets. Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 4-20x50.
