Lets see your complete 3 Gun Set-Up (Pics Please!)

I just applied 1/4 shrink tubing at just over 1/2 inches to the spring clips on my rig. A touch with a BBQ lighter and they look like they were born there. I'm about to load up some shells.:dancingbanana:

Bingo!! Huge improvement. Try both top hooks. The shells are MUCH more stable. Send money to hercster@money.ca

I know what I will be doing when I get home. Thanks for the tip.

After this weekend and the frustration of losing shells, I was thinking about using some thin surgical tubing but that would have been too thick. Then after reading multiple complaints similar to mine I recalled using shrink tubing for a few unconventional uses.

I found a package of the tubing likely bought at CTC, and 15 minutes later it was done. Now time will tell but it looks good.

'Another vote for carbon pin-wheels...

Coupled with the Safari Land ELS belt and clips... 'Makes for easy on/off depending on need for whatever stage you're shooting.

Here we are friends. A heavily modified AP Custom carrier that seems to work very well. The top sets of clamps had a piece of shrink tubing approximately 1/4 x 3/8 threaded on and shrunk with a BBQ lighter. I hope this helps!!

Sorry for helping getting it off track. I was just going to post pics of my Versamax that was cut down. I will go to 3 gun shotgun thread if there is one.

Post it here! I was just having some fun, busting balls about the thread going off on a tangent. :D

LOL....

Barrel is still labeled 3.5" so all the goodies of the tactical but also the extra shell capacity! Love this thing! Barrel is just a tad under 21". In the US my tube down there will be protruding quite a bit but up here she gets max capacity and boy does she swing nice!

I don't know where you got your chokes but I got mine from Trulock. Lot's of good info on the site and the owner George was very helpful with this newbie. His chokes are a bit pricey but he is clearly an expert on what he does. I have a selection but up to now have found that what he calls "skeet 2" works for most situations. He ships to Canada through a distributor.

My first setup for an upcoming competition.

NEA15- 14.5" barrel. Magpul AFG2. Elcan Spectre DR 1-4X scope. Magpul PMag
Rem 870 Police. Magpul SGA stock and fore end. 4-round side saddle. Bushnell TRS25 1X red dot. (May add a Bayonet attachment from S&J)
Sig P226 w/beavertail. TRL-1 light. Mecgar 20/10 mags (also have some 15/10 ones)

Here's my belt, I could use a little (or a lot of) help setting it up since I've never shot in a 3-gun competition.

I'm undecided if I want to use a chest rig or just stick with a gun belt.

Current set up from left to right:
Double 40mm grenade pouched used as a double pistol mag pouch.
Dump pouch.
Small pouch (normally have a little survival kit in there)
Pouched used for an individual first aid kit (probably going to swap it with something smaller)
Seal Pup knife- used to make spider dogs.
Cheapie pistol holster. Have to switch it up if I want to shoot with the light on my pistol (I find it improves my speed and accuracy while shooting).

How many rifle mags do you normally carry on a 3-gun competition?

If I don't use a chest rig I may add a single mag shingle or tripple mag shingle to the left side and then attach the pistol mag and dump pouch on the outside of it.

Any suggestions?
Chest rig, chest rig and belt, just the belt? Single mag shingle or tripple?
