Recently purchased my first Glock. It happens to be the G19 gen 4 Canadian edition.

Just wanted to see who else had one of these; Pros + Cons.

Anything to look out for in the future?. Modifications people have made?.

Congrats on the purchase. You may want to look into some aftermarket sights. And get lots of ammo and shoot the #### out of it.

I put night fission sights on my GFs Glock 19. Took a #### ton of sanding and filing to get them to fit but they are awesome. You can order right from them and they ship no prob to Canada.

I got my G19 from Rampart with Ameriglow night sights. I much prefer it to the Gen2 G17 I owned in the past.

No cons. Best sights I've ever had. The front dot is orange and big. Super easy to pick-up under the timer!

Been looking at that 7TS holster. Do you think the top can be cut off to accommodate a Glock with mounted red dot? Are there ALS locking parts in that area that would make such a holster mod impossible?

The 7TS holsters are a lot cheaper than the 6000 series red dot holsters.

Here's a pic of the inside of the holster. As you can see, the ALS retention system takes a lot of room. It doesn't look like your modification would be possible but I could be wrong.

You may want to have a look at the GLS models, like the 578 GLS, they use a different locking system and it looks as though there is space to cut away for a red dot. They also use the same mounting configuration and hardware so you can attach it via qls/drop panel etc.

I ended up going with the AmeriGlo GL616 with the Lumi Outline. Something about the square front sight

Darn nubby barrel spoils the appearance, IMO. But as long as a quarter inch makes us safer, who am I to say.
