91 Toyota with 400,000 k on it. It just keeps on ticking. Hauls deer, birds, dogs, hunters, and gear with no problems.

Another pic

Don`t laugh, it works:dancingbanana:

DF:D

I started with a standblasted/painted frame and running gear and built this thing from the ground up - finished it a couple of years ago. Just in time for nutz gas prices  Its a 1978 with an 84 cab. One ton suspension all around.

They all have thier good and bad points. Toyota only = bombproof because they are so under powered. Under powered motors and good running gear and a light vehicle, you are sure to get pretty good results. FJ40's are a completely different story.

I have owned so many 4x4's, I have a pretty good knowlage of all the weak points most of them have.

-78 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4
-74 Dodge 4x4
-67 Chev 4x4
-68 Ford 4x4
-76 international scout 4x4
-78 international scout 4x4
-78 Chev blazer 4x4
-86 Toyota extended cab 4x4
-78-80 Toyota 4x4 hilux 4x4
-04 Jeep TJ 4x4
-04 Dodge Dakota 4x4
-82 Jeep CJ5 4x4
-03 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel

I am missing a few, my memory is not as good as it used to be. They all have thier good and bad points. None were very stock either, I do my own vehicle work, always.

Ah yes dave a man after my own heart , the good ol fj40's and cj's those were the days my friend those were the days....
