I'm not sure our pictures would do justice to yours though.... 
Although.... I think you got too much reflection from the brown background. The light reflected back down into the gun's blueing makes it look as though it's rusty or slathered down with copper based Never Seize.
I'll see if I can find time to set up a nice picture to try to justice to your portrait a little later today.

Is your rear sight adjusted as low as possible?
Here's my 17-3
Needed a bit of work, the extractor rod was bent and the cylinder stop was loose. I have a new lower rear sight on backorder, all my shots are high at 25 yards.
Yes it's as low as it will go. Have to either get a shorter rear sight blade or get out the file.
While not quite a true K-22, hopefully these will let me play...
...the four screw has the 22LR cylinder while the newer one runns with inserts when not in centerfire mod.
I've got a K-22 outdoorsman inbound; however, I've alsway thought that the smiths look better with the shroud.
