I have quite a few "works of art' in my collection. They ALL get to go hunting! No reason at all to be "afraid to take them outdoors" - that is what they were built for. Functional art. The best kind!

Its not pretty, but I have a 1934 Radom WZ29, in 8 MM. Numbers on the bolt don't match any number on the receiver. Its a shooter and kind of fun at the range to use the open sights.

When you copy the image address from photobucket, replace everything that comes up in the image inserting popup window or you get double http's and it screws up the string.

Here's my only 'Mauser'. It's a JC Higgins model 50 made by FN Mauser. Bedded and floated the action and barrel last year as well as re-finishing the stock. Sadly it's on the block in EE because a new 30 cal must take it's place.

The stock has the lines of a Mannlicher Schoenauer.

Well, this one isn't mine, but it sure is pretty. It's a Husqvarna in a Brno 21H pattern stock.

1908 Brazilian(Oberndorf), Bevan King 9.3X62 barrel, Dayton-Traister trigger, Pachmeyr pad, Black Walnut stock with ebony trim, Talley barrel band, Ralf Martini bolt handle, rust blued, wearing a VXI 2-7X33 in Leupold rings and bases. Gunsmithing by Corlanes/Martini and stockmaking by me carved fom a blank.

Great lines on that stock.

John303's Brno 21H after a stock replacement. The original stock was cut about 1 to 1.5 inches short and an ugly butt pad added. Who needs a rubber butt pad on a 7x57?

Where did the replacement 21H stock come from? He should send that extra to Wildcat Stocks in Edmonton and have a small ring blank made up for all the Husqvarnas out there. It would make for a very slick lightweight!
