lets see your Norincos

@enefgee: that's the norinco commander eh? that takes regular 1911 mags right? been tossing between one of those and a government 1911 @.@ and all standard 1911 parts fit (roughly) and work with it correct?

Yes, the parts comonality is the same as any Commander. The dust cover is shorter and they need a Commander bushing (really easy to get) if you're putting in a match barrel, and the recoil spring is 2 Lb. heavier, apart from that everything is the same as a 5 inch gun. Interestingly Norc's Compact uses the proper 4.25 inch barrel (some companies have chopped them to 4 inch and uses the 'Commander Style' description). All full size mags function in a Commander.

1911 Norc are good guns. Ive bought a NZ (CZ75 clone) more than a year ago and got nothing but problems. The design of the firing pin is very "flimsy" and mine broke twice (replaced by Marstar excellent warranty). Then the firing pin retainer fell off and was lost at the range (I felt REALLY dumb trying to find it, like if i lost a contact lense or something!) again replaced by Marstar incredible warranty. Now the trigger system failed and I was too lasy to send it to Marstar on the last 2 month of warranty so now im the proud owner of a 400$ paperweight!!! My advise: if you buy Norc buy a 1911 or sig...NOT CZ clone (or wait till you have the money to buy the original...they are the best!!!)

Here is my only Norinco...
best $120 I ever invested in guns !
