I haven't had one of these in some time. They sure are handy little rifles. For those of you that have one - tell me about your stock, barrel make/contour, weight etc.

Thanks.

1899.....I've got about 5 Mod 7s, 2 full stock custom shop jobbies one in 7-08 and one in 350 RM, I have another 350 RM in the KS version, I have a 358 win (rebarrel) in the old original wood stock, and a 260 in a new blued CDL classic wood stock, my son has a 243 and a 350 RM both in the new CDL wood stocks.

Here's some pics of the two full stock custom shop ones.

I don't seem to have any photos of the rest of them.

Have had M7s in 7-08, 308, 300saum, 300wsm. Sold this one to a member, 7-08 in a McMillan EDGE...

C-fbmi those mannlichers are truly ###y. I hope you use them.

Yep, I use them to hold the scopes up off the floor, beyond that I haven't had the opportunity to hunt even one day this year.........but I have great intentions.........I have worked up a good 140 gn load for the 7-08 but have yet to fire the 350...........but I have great intentions.........I have used my Mod 7 KS 350 RM a lot though, it has accounted for about 10 or 12 black bears. I load 225 accubonds but I nip off the plastic tip and load to max mag length. It shoots very well and kills black bears very dead, from any angle. It is a specific duty rifle and I only kill bears with it, it's just a lot of fun.

I have a "predator" model in the factory camo chambered in 17 Fireball, I love it, my 9 year old thinks it's his and is deadly with it. I keep thinking I should get it rebarreled in 223 for him just 'cause the 17 is a pain to load and expensive.
I keep looking for trades in the EE but it's a casual thought.

I'm putting this Model Seven action into this McMillan Edge. Either be a 250AI or 7/08. That's as far as I've got the project.

Those custom shop full stocks are NICE rifles!

That 358, did it come from Ted?

Paul - .250-3000 is exceptionally cool. What make/contour barrel are you planning on using? How much does that Edge weigh?

Yep SC it sure did, #2 son (Michael) has glommed onto it and claimed it......he shoots it quite well too. I'm loading a midrange load of 200 gn Rem bulk bullets both RNs and Spitz with 3031 and it shoots out to 300 mtrs like nothing.

Did you have the bolt fluted on your 7 or is that a factory run that I missed, with fluted bolt.

That is the Remington Model 7 KS (Old Rem Custom shop mold) stock that they used. McMillan is now making them for sale.

Stock weighs 22oz as shown. Forend is only 9" from recoil lug which is why I chose it. Short bbls and long forends look weird to me.

I always thought I would like one of these in a 25 souper/25 souper AI. What do you think yours will weigh when your done?
I just weighed the action with the stock and a 24" factory sporter contour bbl. Total was 6lb even. Bbl will be recontoured to mountain rifle and cut to 21". Not sure how much that will take off the total.
