Every rifle has a story sadly most are lost to time.My wifes late grandfather's 99E in 308. Sling was custom made for him. He must have installed the scope while they were having a few. As it was crooked.
Reggie Barkhouse, was the cook on the Bluenose Scooner for many years. Her father used to tell me how they used to hunt on Oak Island before it got turned into tourist trap.
I called it the Barkhouse special as when he passed, his canoe was painted the same.
I've put a few rounds thru it. Works as it should.
