Lets see your savage 99 rifles!.

My wifes late grandfather's 99E in 308. Sling was custom made for him. He must have installed the scope while they were having a few. As it was crooked.

Reggie Barkhouse, was the cook on the Bluenose Scooner for many years. Her father used to tell me how they used to hunt on Oak Island before it got turned into tourist trap.

I called it the Barkhouse special as when he passed, his canoe was painted the same.

I've put a few rounds thru it. Works as it should.

Thats a great story!. Hard to believe what oak island was like before idiots were digging for buried pieces of wood!. Every rifle has a story sadly most are lost to time.
 
I like these. I had one in .308 about 6/7 years back. Traded it for a Quad{needed a bit of work} I sold the quad later on for an extra + $1000 over the value of the rifle at the time :p A .308 one would be pretty cool to have once again.
