Broken tines and more broke when he ran into a tree just before dying. But another one with the old 308 and the crappy scope. If they pop out of the cut line at 30 yards you don’t need a new scope!

I was just gifted a 99F in 308. Looks like some jerry rig work was done on it. the lever screw and stock were a little mussed up.

Is there a place to buy "new" old stock? or orginal screws etc?

Can you swap barrels on these? just getting lightly into reloading this year for 308 & 3030 etc, reading more about these 99's it's got me looking into all sorts of odd calibers and getting me excited! I'm looking at 300 savage for my main rifle and keeping 3030 for bush. might look at 250-3000 for varmint if I don't just load 110 grain 308 for coyote etc.

Speaking of that. how does the 99's handle handloaded 308? with new powders and primers all that jazz (be gentle, new to handloading) is there anything to worry about?

is this the original forend and stock ? I see it has finger grooves in the forend, I love when my rifles and shotguns have that feature.
