Lets see your savage !

Big aftermarket money for a quick clip setup etc..... And a new stock...... I don't mind blind mags..... Just need to ensure they are unloaded in the woods as the only way to do so is to cycle the action..... As to the range, non issue, because who loads what they arent going to shoot?....

Huge expense to get a bottom metal after market stock for something with a blind mag? I've been considering the hog hunter in .223 is the only reason I ask.. But the more I look the more I like the model 10

If a rifle has "no bottom metal" it means it has a blind mag...... Otherwise, there is metal involved in the bottom end..... Including the mag retaining system

I didn't research what this rifle has, just spoke to what "no bottom metal" actually means......

Thanks man!

The one downside with the newer models is the savage proprietary 10 round mag. It's next to impossible to buy spares whereas the older model (shown in my picture) uses accurate mags which are readily available and not terribly expensive($100) To answer the question about cost, the bare rifle was $1000.00 CDN then accessories etc. All together it ran me back 1450.00, which for a decent precision rifle is a very good price. I just got rid of the B&L and topped it with a Bushnell elite 4200 6-24x40 mildot. Makes a world of difference compared to the 5-15.

Thanks for the info mam, much appreciated! Making my decision just that much more difficult haha

Savage axis Heavy barrel in 223... Not sure If I want to drop it in an MDT LSS or make it classy with a boyds laminate.

Either way Timney trigger is in the mail, also might pick up a new bolt knob.

Thought I should post a picture of my 112 Magnum Target. Waiting on the rings so I can mount my Vortex Razor Gen II. Should all be done up by next week.
