Alas, the reds are protected in BC as they are indigenous and the Kamloops area has very few, if any, grays to chase. Now when I lived in Nova Scotia, the odd one was known to meet its demise early

I use my Ruger 10/22 or Marlin model 60. 22's are my preference. I par boil them with some onion and a bay leaf in the water for about a half hr. Then cut in portion sized pieces and salt pepper them, coat in flour and fry them. Real good eating especially on a Sunday afternoon while watching a football game and enjoying a beer.

I am thinking I may have to buy a marlin 60 Delux for tree rats this year.

before then after I cleaned... Anyways marlin model 60 DLX I still have to put an optic on it. Will post pics soon!

That one is probably my favorite of the bunch! It's a CZ 452 Varmint .22LR in Manners MCS-T4 Elite Tac carbon fiber stock, with full DIP upgrades. I'd take it over all the rifles pictured!
