really, nice this firearm is looking better and better with all these parts coming out, with a cheek weld and the ftu it almost looks like i will need to get one. As long as the accuracy isnt too bad. I want a tavor but their damn expensive.

you dont got the ftu on it though. But thx.

And i love that foregrip mod. I hope they come out with a part that i can buy to put a foregrip on, as my tools are limited i cant drill in an apartment.

The recent pictures of the T97's with the FTU installed have completely changed my position on this rifle. As a Tavor fanboy I thought I would never own one, my mindset has changed and have since purchased. Thanks M14.ca and CGN members.

Optic is solid, can change the dot intesity level and color to red or green which is handy for me. It might be a little high for sum without the FTU but im 6'6 so it all fits me well.

Just installed the FTU from T97.ca
It is a very nice quality piece! It makes the gun look and feel amazing!

My complaints are:
-The charging handle is really tough to pull back, like REALLY TOUGH! Sometimes it won't even catch the bullet. I really hope it smooths out with time and use because the smooth charging handle was why I liked the T97 over my Tavor)
-The curve/hook on the charging handle hurts your hand because of how tough it is to pull back the handle. I would have preferred the handle to be straight and not hook forward.
-I would have preferred it come with the reciprocating handle instead, but that is just preference.

Here are some pics:

I was thinking I'd prefer a reciprocating handle as well but after holding the rifle up by my face, I think I'm going to go back on that and prefer the non-reciprocating one. I'd rather not have an exposed handle flying back and forth so close to my face. Mine was tight as well, but I'd imagine it'll loosen up with use.

I definitely wouldn't want it reciprocating on the left side! but with mine on the right it may not be so bad

A little grease on the charging handle truck goes a long way.
Mine was still smoother than the tavor...
The charging handle profile is a bit too aggressive though, I do recall thinking that. Probably work very well with gloves on though.

I think for reciprocating you take handle off truck. Turn truck around drill new holes for FTU charging handle and drill a hole thru truck and hole where old charging handle was and add a bolt. That would make it as smooth as it was before. But I think nonreciprocating will break in with a little use

Correct, run it some and the truck breaks in more and more. In fact, you will see some white powder as the delrin fits itself to size. Non-issue.

Apply a bit of grease to the underside of the rail using a q-tip.
