lets see your thick bush guns!

Yes sir! My Grandfather bought it new in '58 or '59. He ordered a deluxe model but since production had ended this was all the distributor had left in stock. He shot quite a number of moose with it, a few whitetails and a handful of Vancouver Island Blacktails with it. He gave it to me in 2002 when he decided he could no longer hunt the mountains any longer. I shot my first and only whitetail with it to date but have drawn 3 mulie tags for this season so hoping to draw blood with it once again!

:)My favorite lever gun/calibre combo and it looks like the first 71 I had. Foolishly :( sold it and a few moments later:( regretted that decision. Some time later I corrected that error in judgement when I spotted this mint 71 Deluxe at a local gun show:d:d.

I don't plan on making the same mistake again so, this one is a keeper.

Here is a picture of my bush rifles... the top two are M77 International Carbines in .243 and .308 and the bottom rifle is an M77-RS Carbine in .358 Win... a quintessential bush rifle...

To my way of thinking that's a pretty handy set of bush rifles and good looking set as well

Here's my new R8 bush gun. It's said that the .500 Jefferey with its 8000ft/lbs of energy is overkill for Cape Buffalo and should really only be used for elephant. That being the case, I figure it should be ok for bear defense around here.

Purchased a Henry 45-70 recently.

But my favourite is my 44 Magnum Henry Big Boy Carbine with a 12" barrel. Perfect rifle for my property and up in the treestand.

Here is my Marlin 336BL with XS Ghost Ring peep and a 2-7 power Bushnell Elite 3200 on quick detach rings. It points fast and is nice and short for blinds and close cover situations.

This is a lee enfield i built a bush gun with. Its 303 still. The wood its wearing is off an sporter LEC, the barrel has since been turned down alot thinner, tapers from the knox form to 12mm at the barrel tip. Over all its 36" long. The barrel is 18 1/8" long. It weighs the same as my cooey 75. Im going to guess under 6 pounds for sure. Probably closer to 5 pounds. I have a 5 round mag for it.
The other rifle in the pic is a uncut barrel .22 cal no1mk3 to show the size.

they always look funny on the combo's...........eye relief is just as a bolt action

Nice gun... I see you picked that one up... a double .375 H&H is a pretty handy rig... although the scope does look way too far rearward to my eye.
