Can't post pics from my BlackBerry but I use a baikal sxs 45/70 or a sxs 12 ga for very thick bush
if it's patches of thick with a few openings or along clear cuts and skidder paths I bring a 22" barreled 25/06 or my Mauser action 458 wm. It's a beast with a 26" barrel but it fits unbelievably well.
I can shoulder and fire both my sxs rifle and shotgun and 458 and hit a 8" gong at 20 yards with out even looking thru the scopes

One of my current projects is a 35 cal for thick cover. It will either be a 358 win or a 356 lever

Depends on what you define as thick bush and what one is attempting to root out of said bush..................

I use this for most NA thick bush situations involving black bears.............Rem mod 7 KS in 350 RM

If it's thicker bush and nastier critters I would be using this............

C-fbmi...love that shotgun....sweeeeeet.

You ARE joking right?..........................................The numbers inscribed on the barrels over the chambers say .470 NE and it has a touch more recoil than a shotgun.

Keeping this on track, I don't have a picture yet because the tech sights arnt here... My newest bush basher is going to be an sks lol

Older pic but still the same rifle,
Thick bush, trail, quad, skis, hiking or a walk for coffee at the neighbours. This has become the go to companion.

the poor mans/cheap mans bush gun! lol trying to finish up a sleeve tat, don't feel like dropping 1.5 k on a ruger

It weighs 8.5 pounds, is a semi (adds weight to an action and completely unnecessary in tight woods).... Sorry, not calling you out, and like your posts, but the only thing It has going for it is that it is short.... Plus by the time you spend the coin and time to make it a light bush gun, you could buy a used model 7 or even a used 94....... Which is a better choice than the SKS IMOP...
