Let's see your tikka's

You'll have to show me that Dasher sometime, Brad. :)
One was a T3 "hunter" in 338 Win Mag. I fought with this rifle for 7 months, trying to get it to perform.
There were, basically 2 issues. 1. It was not particularly accurate, IMHO, and was very fussy about what it was fed.
2. It was dismally slow across the graph. I had pressure signs well before acceptable velocities were reached.
The max I could drive a 210 Partition was just at 2800, a speed easily attained in most 300 Magnums with similar weight bullets.
This was evident with bullet weights from 185 grains right up to 250. [My present M700 will make 3000+ with the 210 P.]

The other was a Stainless synthetic in 270. Big problem was it also was a "slow" rifle. 130's at 2875 do not cut it for me in
a 24" barrelled 270. [My present Vanguard does 3180 with the 130 AB, and just over 3000 with the 140 AB]... More like it!!

I upgraded both of those T3 rifles with metal shrouds, and SS recoil lugs, just to be sure. That Hokey aluminum "floater" is
a bit of a shortcut, that I think could have been addressed a different way.

I hear you, the aluminum in mine are all replaced with steel. Funny you mention the 338 WM, Over the years I had two, both in Rem 700's, getting traditional pressure signs at below book max and accuracy was not what one should expect, at the same time my cuz had the very same rifle and it was great, excellent velocity and accuracy. Could have been a QC issue from factory.

The Dasher is pretty much a copy of Lincoln's only I went with a #5 Benchmark and my shooting partner bedded it properly, it went from a 0.6 to a low 0.4 moa after bedding...pretty pleased with it. BW is open , free of snow, now so may see out there. :)

Good, I'll have to get out there on a {hopefully} calm day and shoot my 6mm BR..... Dave.

Here is mine, purchased last fall: T3 Forest in .260 rem topped off with a Burris Veracity 4.5 - 20 x 50 FFP scope sitting in Optilock rings and bases.
Pictured with Tally Light Weight scope mounts that I have since replaced with the optilocks.

That's a nice looking piece of wood you got with that one. Very nice

I think I posted a picture of mine last year, but seeing how photobucket messed that up I thought I would post up another one:

Nice stocks, I like both, however that McMillan is sweet!
I must admit, I purchased an exceptional B&C for my Howa 1500, and when I mean exceptional, I mean the boss was inspecting the factory floor that day. It is an absolute perfect fit, no gaps, no blemishes, just perfect. Needless to say, that stock will be staying on my Howa!

I don't know if the pic is gonna work. In a moment of weakness I sold my T3 laminate stainless 25-06 to fund another rifle, after a year or so later I needed this T3X super lite in 7RM. I am contemplating getting a B&C stock for it, but for now it has the krylon so I don't have to look at the plain plastic. I bought it for one reason, to get another set of horns like these ones. https://imgur.com/08WpFlr
