Lets talk 1911 style .22

You want something that feels like a 1911 in 22. I would have to say the Colt (Walther) 1911 22. It feels just like the real thing. The gsg just doesn't have the same feel. See if you can find both and you will see the difference right away.

I actually found a few threads here and elsewhere on the web with both the GSG and SIG marked guns having trouble cycling cheaper/slower ammo. I find it to be directly proportional to how expensive/powerful the ammo is and how well it will run. I can run 200+ Stingers through it without a single hiccup. Yellowjackets I'll have a few failures here and there. Winchester whitebox fails on every 3rd round. A friend let me try some dirt cheap Federal or something, don't even remember, it wouldn't cycle period. I would have to rack it after every round or smack it back into battery.

There are tons of threads out there about GSGs being picky with ammo. If you have a low round count you might just need to break it in more. Mine used to jam like crazy on cheap winchester ammo but after about 1200 or so rounds of good HV CCI it will eat anything including the winchester. Every gun is different some will eat a certain type of ammo but another one will constantly jam with it. Some need a 500 round break in others need a 1000. It took me awhile to sort it all out but it was my first gun. If I had to do it over again I would just get out the fine grit sandpaper and follow the YouTube videos.
