I've seen the ammo but I have never seen a rifle or machinegun chambered for it. Did the swedes ever officially adopt this round or is it sort of a mistake?

This round was used by the Swedes in the 1919a4 and the Mauser rifles (K-98) carried by the crew. As Can-Am states they are easy to spot they have a big brake on the muzzle, if you ever fire one you will immediately appreciate the brake being there....
The Swedes did export both the guns and the ammo.... It was a popular combination for tanks and APCs in Central and South America....
We have modified both 1919a4s in SA and FA. Work great, well except for the muzzle blast.... Have pictures of where ours came from if anyone is interested....

Johnone,and other 1919 owners

for the 1919's ive played around alot with mine and your swede ammo

I found the BEST way to get it to run PERFECTLY with the real hot swedish stuff was to take any IZZY .308 booster

the izzy boosters they took an usgi 30.06 booster drilled the hole bigger pressed in a bushing to make the hole smaller to cycle .308

take your IZZY booster put it in a BIG vise and press out the bushing its tight but will go

once out you have a hole in the booster approx 3/4 of and inch lightens the recoil on the gun big time and has been 100% reliable

I was useing a 30.06 booster but the gun recoiled so hard it kept popping the top cover!
