So,

I had set aside a lump of cash for a firearm purchase I had been waiting a long time for. The firearm was a beautiful Colt revolver that belongs to a good friend of mine. BNIB, never fired, and by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Well, long story short, he is not ready to let it go yet. So, hear I am with money burning a hole in my pocket and starting to explore my options of other firearms. So I start snooping around...

The idea of a .410 handgun as always interested me. So I looked at the Taurus judge and the bond arms ranger. Now, for those of you that know me, know I am a revolver guy. But, try as I must, I just couldn't stop looking at that damn derringer.

Snooping around st prices I saw that armseast had the bond arms ranger with the BAD holster for $624. By far, the best price I have seen! Seems how I end up spending a fortune on holsters and grips anyway, I love the fact that the ranger model comes stacked with beautiful accessories. Probably save me $150 right there too in not having to buy them additionally.

So I went ahead and bought it, and I have to say, I have not been this excited about a purchase in a long time. So please, entertain me with your thoughts, stories, opinions, ammo recommendations, and impressions of this little thumper. Whether you own one or not, I would have to hear people's opinions.

I tried my friend's last week, shooting .357, .38 Special, .410 shot and slugs. The only one that didn't hurt my poor office hands was the .38 handloads. We found that accuracy was not great, but by cutting the distance down to about 8 yards, all shots landed inside a target printed on 8 1/2 X 11" paper.

It's a cute toy, well made and shiny as hell, but not really my first choice.

Still fun to shoot, just not for the guy who can own only one or two handguns.

i have one...beautifully made and rock solid..but not the most pleasant to shoot! i read the instruction manual AFTER i tried it, wish i had done so before as it has some tips on how to hold (and not to hold) it for best results. i suggest you do the same.

i bought some cool ammo that is a combo of discs and balls but have not tried it yet.
