Curious to know how many "D" series out there?

Once mine arrived I noticed that the bolt carrier and the bolt are flat in color and are not shinny like all the other russian SKS...
I am referring to the same dull look that the Chinese SKS bolt carrier and bolt....
Is the "D" series the only one like this from the "letter" SKS'S?
Traditional bolt carrier on the left.... "D" series on the right

I have a D and two new ( Chinese Military ) sks rifles. All of them have flat less shiny bolts than the Russians. I notice the example in your picture has a stripper clip guide, my D does not

My "D" is like the shinny one.

Ive seen quite a few letter series SKS's at the shows lately. I'd assume that there was a shipment of them arrive lately.

SKS D is a Chinese commercial model that takes detachable AK 47 mags & dose not have a stripper guide cut out on the bolt carrier

Wasn't mention of the SKS-D. It was a comparison of the two types of Russian SKS bolt finishes as in the op's picture, and that of the Chinese bolt carriers with a flat finish. The two refurbished Chinese type 56 I have both have a dull grey finish on the bolt carriers but they are different than in the op pic.

Post #5. I believe Ambroise may be referring to an SKS-D, but I could be wrong.

I have a 53 izzy with a dull grey bolt like that. Not common, but nothing special either. Normally the letter series Russians have a typical shiny carrier.
