Letter series SKS

They have 150 SKS enroute for the grand opening in March of their new location, price will be a bit higher they said but I am hoping there will be a Grand opening sale!! :)

Good for you Nova Scotians! By the way, what is up with you Nova Scotians? There seems to be more of you on CGN than there should be according
to population base and gun prices seem to be better there as well. Is there something about Nova Scotia that is creating more of a gun friendly atmosphere?

People here have fallen in love with the Russian surplus and especially the SKS, the CTC I go to had the prices down low on their birch stock SKS which is where I found a lot of gems, the price won't go up too much! They are keeping the prices low to attract people into the store and their new sporting center where they have a boatload of firearms and ammo! It is working!

Trust me, nothing is more rare than a non-refurbished '53 Izhevsk. Even more rare than a refurbished '49. If there were any non-refurbished '49s, they would be the rarest. Haven't seen one of those yet.

Buy anything for $170!

I was looking at a mint all-matching Mosin at Fishing World yesterday. (They just got a lot of 15 in) Everything, mint, bore included. Price: $175 ! How long will prices like that last? Not long.
I just don't need more guns and it was VERY HARD to resist the temptation to buy it.

I am not aware of the truly original 1949 Tula in collector's hands, anywhere in the world. It would be one hell of a find.

1953 Izhevsk in original condition is definitely a rare bird.

Tried to upload some pics of the 53 izzy but photobucket kept changing it to an add for reloading gear!? First try at uploading pics!

Its a nice sks - the pics turned out good.

As for an as-issued, non-refurb 1949 Tula, I am not aware of one anywhere - its the unicorn that every SKS collector looks for.

Hey The Kurgan, thanks for all the work you compiled on the SKS. It was very informative and much appreciated.
