Letting a friend borrow unrestricted rifles

hey guys,
my buddy asked to borrow my .22, I wouldn't have a problem letting him use it but I won't be there; he will borrow it over the weekend.

How do you guys feel about lending out your firearms? it feels a little weird but I trust the guy, are there any legal issues?

If he has a PAL then no problem. I've lent out lots of guns, it's no big deal unless the guy is known to be irresponsible and treat guns like crap.
 
I think the big thing here would be trust. You say you trust him then I don't see a problem. As long as he takes responsiblity if something happens and realizes he should come good for any damage I think I would lend it.
