I am looking for a Leupold 2-7x33 Rimfire for a semi-auto 22lr. They are $299 in the US and $490 in Canada. A bit rich.
Are there any deals to be had?

Currently I have a Mark AR 1.5-4x20 illuminated and while it is light and clear it has a 150y parallax and the finest reticle lines are 0.28mil thick  covering the grouse head at 50y and past that.

Depending on the ranges you plan to shoot personally I would pass on the rimfire version with the 60 yard parallax setting and just get a regular Leupold model with the regular 100 yard setting. I bought the Freedom rimfire 3-9x40 and while it is a very clear bright scope when the distance gets to 75 yards or greater the image gets blurry. I have since taken it off my gun and bought an Athlon with adjustable parallax.

What kind of rifle is it going on?
- Head shot on a grouse at 50M, while in the field ...
it is going on a Savage A22, with 50y being about the max distance
the current scope reticle is too thick, only usable to 25y
I used to use the 410 for grouse but I'm thinking of trying the 22LR

OP,
Leupold 3-9x32 AO Compact....& don't look back.

50 yd/mtr grouse/ptarmigan head shots are simple...if the equipment & trigger actuator are capable!!
Doesn't want to spend $500 on a scope for a 22 to be used on Grouse.
I say he is missing out , but sometimes the search for the next best thing will realize the best thing is what I need.

I hear you but I have spent most of my budget on ammo this black friday
I hope there will be at least some discount on boxing day.

^I've admitted this a few times lately, how much good optics make a huge difference. After you've been at it long enough, either you'll come that on your own or your eyes will deteriorate with time and good optics will be the only option. Either way, I'd have saved $ in the long run had I just believed what people told me in the first place. lol

Seeing as the distances are close and its during daylight, I'd just run a Bushnell banner 2. You can also adjust the parallax on a fixed scope down to 50y!

good point.
Yet as of recently Bushnell seems to be hiding the specs on their scopes.
I have watched videos on how to adjust the parallax on fixed parallax scopes. Wouldn't mind doing that.
Still, I need to see the reticle and most of all the thickness of the lines. Some manufacturers are publishing them some are not.
1 MOA dots are useless on rimfire.
