First off, not cheap. Secondly...don't buy anything else if you own a Leupold scope. I received a scope from Clay at Prophet River today and had bought a set of these to go with it and all I can say is WOW. There is absolutely no comparison between these and the Butler Creek covers that people normally buy. If you spend some money on a decent scope having good covers to go with it is worth while in my opinion. One plus is that you can quickly change them from one Leupold scope to another if the diameters are the same. And Clay is awesome to deal with.

I always used Buler Creeks and they did a pretty good job, but no question the Alumina ones are better. Although I did use some blue loc-tite on them, because they will unscrew on you...Probably won't fall off, but the tabs will get lined up funny.:)

Just bought a new vx-3 today and considering these.

Other then the obvious (weight) is there any difference between the regular and ultralight eyepiece.

sorry right after I posted I realized the ultralight eyepiece is for the ulrtalight scope!!!

Any one know where to get the best price for these in Canada???

I have had 4 sets since they come out placed on my Leupold scopes....LOVE THEM...yes expensive but worth it in my books-Bulter Creeks avg between $22-39 anyways so whats $50 per cover. I even use the Alumina Intensifier lense kits.

anybody know if they are making them in the 36 or 32mm sizes yet? Have a couple of each.

According to the leupold website they make them in 20mm, 28mm, 33mm, 36mm, 40mm, 42mm, and 50mm. As well as both Standard and ultralight eyepiece

I just ordered a set from Clay at Prophet River. Hope these are as good as everyone says!! BTW I hate Butler Creek caps!

I have 2 56mm VXL's, the cover sets were $100+, worth every penny IMO
I agree, I was sick of the BC stuff falling off. I don't mind the one time extra expense.
