I have a Leupold fixed 20x with AO and a fine target dot reticle.

I emailed Leupold with the serial # and they said it was produced in 1977. It still functions well.

Does anyone know what it would be worth? $250?

That sure doesn't seem like a horrible price.
Not to keen on a target dot reticle, but this should be able to be
changed by Korth.

Condition is also important......................:p

It's in great shape. The optics were barely even dusty. I'm not looking to sell yet. Just weighing options and figuring out what it is worth. I got two unsolicited offers for $250 so I'm guessing a little more than that. I know it works well as I've run about 120 rounds through the rifle it is on. Very accurate, dialed elevation up and down between 100 to 600m with no issues.

It's a bit of an odd-duck scope. It's a little low-powered for a serious target shooter, fixed power makes it less desirable in the gopher patch on hot days and it's too high-powered for hunting use. But that being said, I can see it fetching $400 pretty easily but not much more. You could have a new reticle installed (about $80 IIRC) or use it as a gopher or coyote scope as is (the 1/8 minute dot is tough to see though). Either way, it's not a 6.5-20x Vari-X III (or VX3) which would bump it into the $500 range.

If I was you, cam, I'd find something to slap it on or nest it back in the safe.

It's currently on a 1979 700 BDL "Varmint Special", .308 Win with a heavy barrel. The scope suits the rifle. The rifle is very accurate though and I was pondering getting a scope that was a bit more modern. Still on the fence, but I think I'll just keep them together.

Thank you all for your input and giving me an accurate value!
