My choice would be the Leupold . I have a couple of Freedoms and have no complaints.

The VX-Freedom scopes are unfortunately over priced in Canada, however that applies to all Leupold scopes sold in Canada. I like Leupold scopes because of there weight and eye relief which is very good. One problem that I had with VX-Freedom 2-7x33 mm when trying to mount it on a long action Ruger m77 was that the mounting length was to short when using the Ruger rings, however it worked when I used Leupold rings, since the Leupold rings are narrower, since they only use two screws vis the Ruger rings which use four screws.

A little off topic. Keep and eye on Kijiji for Leupold scopes. I scored a wicked deal on a American Marksman scope for $80

I just bought the VX-FREEDOM 2-7x33 on sale at Bass Pro and I had like $200 of gift cards. Was a no brainer.

Going to replace the cheap traditions package scope on my ML. Have a DNZ mount coming too.

I'll let you know how I like it.
