So I did a little searching on the forum, I can't find much info about this topic. I have been seeing allot of knockoff of name brand products being sold online. I am kind of interested in a mk4 knockoff just to try on my 10/22, along with maybe a EOTECH knockoff ect.... Are they worth the paper box they are sent in or do they fall apart on the first outing?

I'm using a replica of a Leupold, 30mm tube, mildot, target turrets marked with moa, lighted reticle, 4.5-14x50mm. Everyone who looks through it can't believe how bright and clear it is. I'm using it on a 10/22 and the tracking of the turrets is good enough to have some fun and be able to hit dead on at various distances. I think I paid around $130 for it. I'd say it was worth it. Had it for a couple of seasons now. Wouldn't put it on anything critical as its likely airsoft quality.

yeah prices are about $60-$70 shipped for those now.

Not much to lose then by trying.

I used to use a $350 Bushnell scope on the same gun and I like the Reupold clone better.

Anything can happen with cheap optics and no warranty. You might get a decent scope that lasts for years, or you might get one that looks like you are looking though the bottom of a coke bottle that has dried sediment in the bottom. I bought a couple of Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn's on ebay from china and they are 6-24x50 and work great. Very bright and clear. I once bought a 3-9x40 mildot Bushnell and it has a red coating that makes the image so off color its annoying. Consider these Crackerjack scopes, in the sense that its the cheap price in the box of caramel popcorn.

I had a knockoff mark 4 (illuminated) I mounted on my M14, the illumination dial popped off after about 60 rounds. I returned the scope, got a refund, and spent the extra $1000 on a real one, and never looked back. I also had a knock off aimpoint on an AR a few years back and it worked great, no issues. I think there worth a shot on low recoiling rifles.

You obviously aren't going to get a $1500 scope for $100 but they are great deals for .22 RF rifles and plinkers. Some really are surprisingly good.

I will put it this way, for 1/10th the price you'd have to be smoking crack to buy an original eotech or aimpoint, unless you're a Navy SEAL or Ranger.. apparently half the guys on here think they are :)

Either way if you're going range shooting, you do not need an original eotech or acog

I don't know about all of them, but some Redfields are made by Leupold and are quite decent.

A friend has one on his 7mm RemMag.

Lots of rounds under it (500+) and it's performing as well now as it did 2 years ago when it was new.

It looks exactly like the VariX II Leupold I own and is every bit as clear and sharp.

The adjustments are positive and repeatable. Great scope for half the price of a scope with a Leupold banner on the side. Other than the banners, no discernable difference.

From what I've read on Gunboards, Leupold makes the new Redfield line.

Redfield scopes really are the best bang for your buck as far as low end scopes go.

Redfield Revolution is the scope you want!! I would honestly put these on any of my rifles, an would like to!

I love mine , mounted on anything from a 22 to a mosin nagant. Just works excellent, zero never ever changes. Optical clarity is very impressive.

You can also get a Leupold VX-I with LR reticle these days for around $229.00 on sale. I just bought one to use on my M14 and it looks like a decent scope. The spacing of the elevation dots on the LR reticle is just about perfect for zeroing at 100 and compensating for 200 and 300 yards with 150gr 308 ammo.

I do like the redfield revolution scopes. Some people don't like the friction type adjustments but i have no problem with them. I want to set it and forget it, I don't need to make daily or hourly adjustments to my hunting scopes.
