Has anyone tried them? I saw a video demo of them and it looked like a great simple system to help out a new shooter such as myself. Just wondering on some reviews from the field...

I have one on my 30-06. It works very well, with one proviso: if your ballistics match those listed in the manual. If your cartridge shoots less flat, you have to try different magnifications to find the one that works with your load at all the holdover points.

No big deal really, all part of knowing your gear and ammo.

I used it and like it. But I don't shoot long range very often so I haven't bothered really learning about how the mag changes the holdover. At the range it seemed to do okay though on a mid setting of 5x

I find any black reticle stands out fine in shooting light... YMMV.

FWIW, the Leupold Boone & Crockett reticle has finer lines, and I loved the one I had.

I like my B&C 4.5x14x40mm LR. The reticule is very close on the rifle I use it on. As long as I know the distance of the animal, I have no fear about making a shot out to 600 yards. Mind you that has only happened once so far, but the result was 1 shot 1 kill.
