Leupold mark 4

I have a buddy that has a history of having good luck and finding good deals. Yesterday he won $5300 on a friggin pro line ticket, and within an hour had a guy sell him a gun for $600. It's a savage 110 with leupold mark 4. The turrets have no zero stop as of now, and I'm wondering if turrets with the stop are available from korth group for those scopes ?
 
There are a ton of fake leupold Mark 4 scopes out there, just look on KIJIJI. best recommendation is to get the serial number off the bottom of it and call leupold. They can confirm real or fake and tell you about adding zero stop.
 
do they even offer zero stops? If so its got to be on the newer mk6 and mk8.

If he doesn't like it, i'll give him 300 for the mk4, if it really is a mk4.
 
Shawn Peters makes an aftermarket zero stop turret for the Mark 4. He posts here sometimes.

Maybe I'm a pessimist but when I see rifles with Mark 4s selling for 600 bucks the first thing I think is counterfeit scope.
 
I'm strongly leaning toward fake on this scope, even though the guy at korth said it's a legit serial number. It doesn't have leupold written in the black ring around the objective, and the battery cover for the illuminated reticle has a coin slot in it. Either way, the scope is nice and clear, is good in low light, and the adjustments seem to work really well. And hey, it's not like he's out big money for it.
