LEUPOLD MARK 5HD 3.6-18x44 Alternative options

Is the glass onthe Mark5HD better than the glass on the VX5/VX6HD?

I just did a scope comparison viewing the mountain in front of my house with my recently purchased Bushnell Elite Tactical LRTSi and my VX5HD (Bushnell 18X, Leupold 15X)... distance is give or take 3KM to the ridge, the Bushnell has better clarity for fine detail.

The Bushnell is FFP, MIL/MIL, zero stop, Illuminated on a dial and a few hundred less not counting the 30% rebate I got with it.

Really happy with the Bushnell for both performance and price...:)
 
I have 2 - VX-5HD 2-10x40 and VX-5HD 3-15x44, excellent scopes for the price.
Do not know how they compare to MK-5HD's, but at half the price it may be worth checking them out.
