So I knew about this optic for awhile and did not really think too much of it - 1x magnification, big deal. Flipping through their website though, I see this removable illumination module. So I did a bit more checking and while the optic seems to get high marks for ruggedness and being a true 1x, it really seems to suffer in terms of eye relief and parallax. Whatever. What has kind of grabbed me is the illumination module. I am trying to find more information on it with little luck. How does this illumination module function ? Why can it be added to this optic but not to other Leupold scopes ?

So who here has played with one ?

"The illuminated reticle scopes use a long lasting 3 volt 1/3 N lithium battery that is replaceable in the field without the need for tools."

Duracell - DL1/3N
Eveready - 2L76
Kodak - K58L
Varta - CR1/3N
Sanyo - CR1/3N

The battery life of the Leupold Prismatic scopes:
No loss of illumination at ambient 70 degrees Fahrenheit at the maximum intensity setting for 10 hours.
No loss of illumination at maximum intensity setting at minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 hours."

We have these in stock. The illumination module comes with the unit but it is proprietary to this model only. This is a decent medium size 1x illuminated sight with an adjustable intensity reticle that is very easy to pick up fast. It comes with all mounting hardware and spacers to co-witness with open sights if required. $743. Phil.
