Leupold PRW Scope Rings

O.K., this might sound like a stupid question but does anybody know what the single screw on the side of the PRW ring is for. One side of the ring has 2 screws for mounting it to the base (tightens the metal claw), but there is another single screw on the other side of the ring which seems to hold the cross-bolt in place. Should this screw be tightened when installing or is this some sort of windage adjustment???? Should I just keep this screw as tight as it will go?

I figured it was for saving your scope alignment if you take it off the rifle. Not certain though

I have a set of PRW on my 7mm Rem Mag and that seems to be the only reason.

Screw locks in the lower steel insert to give opposing pressure to maintain tightness from both sides of the ring once it is on the base. This is the last screw I tighten after everything else is tight.
