It's an OK scope, but barely. Single coated optics vs. multi coated on all the other models. The friction adjustable (no clicks) sighting system has only 1/2 MOA markings, vs. 1/4 MOA on all the others. Only one reticle available. No lockable eyepiece, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. It is strong, and it has the lifetime warranty. Not as good at dawn or dusk as the multicoated models.
If you can get a similar good deal on a VX I model, it would be worth an extra $30 or $40 for the multi-coating and other features. If the Rifleman is a steal, pounce on it.
