My favourites are the Leupold VX-II's in either 1x4 or 2-7.
Absolutely the cleanest profile, straightforward & simple ... and all the "optics" I'm capable of using.

I picked up a vx2 3x9x40 with the LR reticle and my dad didn't like it. He found it confusing and would always use one of longer range dots to shoot close. I know, I know , he really shouldn't be hunting lol, (its actually not funny).He also finds the duplex reticle too fine for his eyes to get it on target properly and quickly. I am fixing to buy him an illuminated reticle scope but something like a trijicon, no batteries or buttons just point and shoot.
